The lace is soft, it's pretty. The hem at the empire waist is elastic so there is enough give to slide under my breasts where it belongs with enough top coverage to have them not spilling out the top. Because its elastic there isn't a ton of support but there is plenty of room. I'm wearing this to a party and while lingerie is the theme it's R not X rated so the fit is absolutely perfect to wear as a too short dress with panties peeking out when I bend. It is totally worth my money, beautiful, fits an actual plus sized woman in a sexy way, and doesn't feel like its about to fall apart. Would reccomend. Very comfortable LOVED it so much that I bought a second color. We invested in about 10 baby dolls for the holidays.
